Attention to Detail Myrtle Beach
Fresh Detail Care Guide

Thank you for trusting Attention to Detail Myrtle Beach with your ceramic coating. I appreciate your business, and I want to make maintaining your vehicle as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Your vehicle has been coated with a ceramic and graphene-based protective system designed to make the surface more durable, easier to clean, and much more resistant to normal contamination.

Easy Maintenance

One of the biggest advantages of your coating is how easy it makes washing and upkeep.

Because the coating is highly hydrophobic, water will bead up and sheet off the surface much more easily than bare paint. That means drying is faster, washing is simpler, and dirt has a harder time clinging to the finish.

In many cases, normal dirt, dust, bug residue, and light grime can be removed with running water and a clean damp microfiber towel. You do not always need soap.

If you enjoy washing your own vehicle, this should make the process much faster and much more satisfying.

Car Wash Use

If you do not feel like washing your vehicle at home, using a car wash is acceptable.

Because of the strength and hardness of the ceramic coating, normal car wash use will not damage the coating itself. A touchless wash is always preferred when available, but even the standard spinning brushes will not remove the coating.

That said, it is still best to choose a car wash that uses a pH-neutral soap whenever possible. Strong alkaline soaps can gradually weaken protection over time. Your coating is very durable, so this usually takes repeated exposure, but pH-neutral soap is still the best choice for long-term performance.

Washing at Home

If you choose to wash your vehicle yourself, use a pH-neutral automotive soap when needed.

You can also clean many areas with just running water and a clean microfiber towel.

If you use microfiber towels, make sure they are clean and soft. Dirty towels can drag debris across the uncoated surfaces and create unnecessary scratching.

The coating will help keep contaminants from sticking as strongly, which means things like bugs and tar are much easier to remove. In many cases, they will wipe away with much less effort than they would on unprotected paint.

Best Practices

  • Wash from the top down.
  • Use clean microfiber towels only.
  • Do not use harsh household cleaners on the coating (especially if you don't know their PH range).
  • Remove bird droppings, bugs, tree sap, and other contaminants as soon as practical.
  • Take advantage of the coating’s hydrophobic properties by rinsing thoroughly and drying with a clean drying towel or air blower.

If You Want Help

If maintaining the coating ever feels like too much, or you simply want the vehicle professionally refreshed, you can always call me.

My ceramic services include prorated warranty-backed maintenance options. If you contact me within your warranty period, the cost to refresh or maintain the coating is significantly less than paying for a full new coating service.

Understanding the Prorated Warranty

A prorated warranty means the refresh price is based on how much time has passed in the warranty term.

For example, if you purchased a 12-month prorated warranty and came back at 6 months, the maintenance cost would be half of the original service price. If you came back at 7 months, it would be about 7/12 of the original price, and so on.

This gives you a fair and simple way to maintain your protection without starting over at full price.

If you ever have any questions about washing, maintenance, or your warranty, reach out anytime.
