Attention to Detail Myrtle Beach
 Fresh Detail Care Guide

Thank you for trusting me with your vehicle. A proper wash and a little maintenance go a long way in keeping your paint, trim, and interior looking fresh longer.

Exterior Wash Care

  • Always use something soft on your paint, like a clean microfiber wash mitt, microfiber towel, or a soft-bristle brush.
  • When washing, move your wash media in the same direction the wind would flow over the vehicle. On the hood, that means washing from the front of the hood toward the windshield, then overlapping your next pass by about 50%.
  • Avoid washing side to side whenever possible, because that can create scratches and swirls that stand out badly in the sunlight.
  • Always wash from the top down. Start with the roof, then the glass, then the hood and trunk, then the upper door panels, fenders, and quarter panels, and finally the lower portions of the vehicle.
  • The dirtiest areas are usually the lowest, so saving those for last helps prevent dragging grime across cleaner paint.
  • Keep the paint wet while you wash. Don’t allow soap to dry on the surface. Use a pH-neutral car soap whenever possible, because it helps preserve any wax or protection that was applied during your detail.
  • When rinsing, start from the top and work downward, just like you did when washing. Rinse the roof first, then the windows, then the hood and trunk, then the sides.
  • If you have access to filtered water, even better. If not, keep the surface wet and rinse often to reduce the chance of water spotting.
  • To dry, use a high-quality absorbent drying towel or synthetic chamois. If you have a leaf blower, use it after drying to blow water out of mirrors, trim, cowls, grilles, panel gaps, and emblems. Then follow up with your drying towel to catch any remaining drips.

Interior Maintenance

  • If something spills, the sooner you address it, the better. For coffee, soda, or other liquid spills in cup holders, seats, or carpet, use a clean microfiber towel to blot and absorb the spill right away.
  • The same goes for stains on seats or carpet — it is always easier to remove them when they are fresh than after they have dried and set.
  • If your carpets were detailed by me, they were treated with a dedicated carpet conditioner that helps keep them softer and makes dry debris easier to vacuum.
  • To maintain that effect, you can lightly mist the carpet with plain water from a spray bottle before vacuuming. *Do not soak it — just a light mist.* Then vacuum as usual. You’ll often notice that sand, crumbs, and other debris lift out more easily.
  • For routine upkeep, use a clean microfiber towel to wipe dust from hard interior surfaces.
  • Avoid harsh household cleaners on dashboards, trim, touchscreens, leather, and plastics, because they can dry out or discolor the material over time.

Best Practices

  • The longer dirt, pollen, bird droppings, bug remains, or spills sit, the more likely they are to stain or damage the surface. Quick maintenance now prevents bigger, more expensive problems later.
  • If you are ever unsure how to wash or maintain a surface, or if something happens that you think may need professional attention, reach out before experimenting with random products. All my services come with prorated warranties.

Prorated Warranty Information

Many of my detailing services include a prorated warranty, which is designed to make future maintenance easier and more affordable.

A prorated warranty simply means that if you come back within the warranty period, you do not pay full price all over again. Instead, the refresh or maintenance cost is based on how far along you are in the warranty term.

For example, if your service included a 12-month prorated warranty and you came back at 6 months, the maintenance cost would be about half of the original service price. If you came back at 7 months, it would be about 7/12 of the original service price, and so on.

This helps keep your vehicle maintained properly without having to start from scratch every time, and it rewards you for staying on top of the condition before it becomes a larger, more expensive job again.

If you ever have questions about your warranty period, or want to know what your prorated maintenance rate would be, just reach out and I’ll gladly go over it with you.
