Attention to Detail Myrtle Beach
Fresh Detail Care Guide

Thank you for trusting Attention to Detail Myrtle Beach with your boat. I truly appreciate your business, and I want you to enjoy the results of your detail for as long as possible.

Your boat has been professionally cleaned and protected to make future maintenance much easier, faster, and more enjoyable.

Acrylic Coating Care

If your fiberglass was treated with my acrylic coating system, the surface underneath has been cleaned to a very high level and then sealed under a protective acrylic layer. That acrylic layer is what you will now be cleaning and maintaining, not the raw fiberglass itself.

One of the biggest benefits of acrylic coating is how easy it is to maintain. In most cases, aggressive cleaners are not needed. For normal upkeep, all you need is running water and a clean microfiber rag to wipe away dirt, residue, or light soiling. This makes routine cleanup much easier and helps preserve the finish.

If your boat was coated inside as well, especially on the non-skid areas, please use caution. Once coated, non-skid surfaces can become slick when wet. For safety, non-slip sole boating shoes are strongly recommended.

Vinyl Ceramic Coating Care

If you chose ceramic coating for your vinyl seats or other vinyl surfaces, those areas are also very easy to maintain. In most cases, a clean microfiber rag and running water are all that’s needed to remove normal dirt and surface grime.

The goal of these protective systems is to make ownership more enjoyable. Instead of heavy scrubbing and harsh chemicals, your boat should now be much easier to clean after each use. With proper upkeep, cleaning your boat can become a quick and satisfying Saturday project instead of a full-blown chore.

Best Practices

  • Rinse the boat after use, especially if it has been in saltwater.
  • Use clean microfiber towels only. Dirty towels can drag grit across the finish.
  • Avoid harsh degreasers, strong acids, or aggressive cleaners unless absolutely necessary.
  • For normal maintenance, start with the least aggressive method first: water and microfiber.
  • The sooner bird droppings, spills, fish residue, sunscreen, or other messes are removed, the easier they are to clean.

If You Want Help

If maintaining it yourself starts to feel like too much, or you simply want it professionally refreshed, you can always call me.

Many of my services include prorated warranty coverage. If you call within your warranty period, the cost to refresh or maintain the finish is significantly less than starting over from scratch.

Understanding the Prorated Warranty

A prorated warranty simply means the refresh price is based on how far along you are in the warranty term.

For example, if you purchased a 12-month prorated warranty service and came back at 6 months, the maintenance cost would be half of the original service price. If you came back at 7 months, it would be about 7/12 of the original price, and so on.

That way, you are only paying fairly for the time and wear that has passed, not full price all over again.
